COLOUR TURN
Colour Turn is a peer-reviewed open journal that seeks to promote and advance interdisciplinary and international research into Colour Studies. The open access journal is inaugurated on August 28, 2018, on the occasion of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s 269th birthday, one of the pioneers of colour theory.
PAPER SUBMISSIONS
Colour Turn invites high-quality papers and articles from various perspectives in the field of colour studies and encourages junior as well as senior researchers to submit their work.
Restrictive Use of Generative AI: We do not allow the use of generative AI (such as ChatGPT or similar tools). This also includes using ChatGPT or similar tools for spelling and grammar checks. Use grammar tools in Word or Google Docs or translation tools such as DeepL instead. We ask you not to use generative AI for processing research data, including personal data (such as names, 2 › 3 voice recordings, etc.) or copyrighted materials. By submitting your article, you declare that you have complied with these rules.
JOURNAL KEY AREAS
Colour Turn publishes high-quality research papers, academic reviews and articles in eight key investigative domains:
Colour Research Colloquium
Hosted by the interdisciplinary journal Colour Turn at the University of Tübingen, our Colour Research Colloquium (CRC) invites young scholars from various fields to explore colour as both a sensory experience and a cultural signifier. We welcome 15-minute presentations on ongoing research at any stage. If you’re simply curious and would like to attend as a listener, you’re very welcome to join as an audience member. Just send us a short email at submission@colourturn.net to express your interest. For a sense of the atmosphere and themes explored in past sessions, you can visit the CRC Report pages and read the published reports.
We look forward to continuing the conversation this October with the third edition of the Colour Research Colloquium. Stay tuned!
