Colour Turn Talk

Colour Turn Talk is a new section created to spark conversation and exchange between scholars, artists, and practitioners who work with colour in all its complexity. We imagine it as a lively, interdisciplinary space that opens up our usual ways of sharing research—through interviews, podcasts, and recorded conversations that invite openness, curiosity, and mutual learning.

Here, we welcome a range of voices—whether early-career researchers, experienced academics, or creative professionals—each offering a unique perspective on colour. These dialogues aim to build connections across disciplines, helping us understand not just the theories behind colour, but also the creative and personal processes that shape how we engage with it.

With Colour Turn Talk, we hope to make space for a different kind of knowledge exchange—less formal, more reflective, and grounded in the idea that conversation itself can be a form of research.

We welcome contributions on topics related to all the research areas explored in Colour Turn, from art history and design to philosophy, media, education, technology, and beyond.
